1) DEFINITIONS

● Business Day: Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

● Notice Received: The date/time the School receives the student’s written notice by email or hand delivery. Notices received outside published business hours are considered received on the next Business Day.

● Training Begins: The earliest of: (a) the first day the student attends any classroom, range, or road training; or (b) the School provides or activates access to paid services (including ELDT theory/online course access, permit prep access, scheduling/reserving a seat for a cohort start date, issuing materials); or (c) the student’s cohort start date occurs and a seat has been reserved for the student.

● Costs Incurred on Behalf of the Student (“Costs Incurred”): Documented, non-refundable charges the School paid to third parties and/or non-recoverable items/services activated or issued specifically for the student, including but not limited to: DOT physical, drug screen fees, MVR/background-related fees (if paid by the School), online course/ELDT access activation costs, and issued materials not returned in required condition.

2) HOW TO CANCEL

All cancellations must be in writing. The School accepts written cancellation notices by:

● Email (recommended): info@jwcdl.com

● In Person / Mail: 2222 S Dobson Rd, Suite 1102, Mesa, AZ 85202

A cancellation becomes effective when the notice is Received by the School (see Definitions above).

Business Hours (recommended default): Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Arizona time).

3) RIGHT TO CANCEL WITHIN 3 BUSINESS DAYS (COOLING-OFF PERIOD)

A student may cancel the Enrollment Agreement within three (3) Business Days after signing, provided Training has not begun.

● If cancelled within this period, the student is entitled to a refund of all monies paid, minus any documented Costs Incurred (if any).

● If no Costs Incurred were incurred, the School will refund all monies paid.

4) CANCELLATION AFTER 3 BUSINESS DAYS BUT BEFORE TRAINING BEGINS

A student may cancel at any time before Training Begins after the 3-Business-Day period.

If cancelled after the 3-Business-Day period but before Training Begins, the student is entitled to a refund of monies paid minus:

● the $125 Registration Fee; and

● any documented Costs Incurred.

5) ONLINE SERVICES / ELDT ACCESS / ISSUED MATERIALS (IMPORTANT)

A) Online Access Activation (ELDT / Permit Prep / Paid Online Content)

If any paid online course access (including ELDT theory) is unlocked/activated for the student, that access is considered provided. Online access is non-refundable to the extent of the School’s cost and/or the published value of that access.

If the student cancels after access is activated (even if the student never logs in), the refund (if any) will be reduced by the documented Costs Incurred associated with activating that access.

B) Materials Issued (books, binders, gear, etc.)

If materials are provided/issued before Training Begins and the student cancels, materials must be returned within 3 Business Days of the cancellation notice in the same condition as issued (new/unused, unmarked, undamaged) to be eligible for the full refund calculation.

If materials are not returned on time or not in the same condition, the School may deduct the replacement cost as Costs Incurred. Address: 2222 S Dobson Rd, Suite 1102, Mesa, AZ 85202

6) WITHDRAWAL OR TERMINATION AFTER TRAINING BEGINS

After Training Begins, tuition and fees are generally non-refundable, unless one of the Limited Exceptions below applies or a sponsor/funding contract requires a different rule.

Effective Date of Withdrawal/Termination: The date the School receives written notice of withdrawal, or the date the School documents a policy violation that results in termination.

7) LIMITED EXCEPTIONS (DOCUMENTED, CONTROLLED)

If Training has begun, the School may provide a deferral or prorated refund only under the following limited exceptions, provided the student supplies required documentation and the situation is verified:

A) Medical Emergency

A serious medical condition or injury that prevents participation.

Documentation required: a medical note verifying inability to train and expected duration.

B) Military Orders

Deployment or official military orders that make attendance impossible.

Documentation required: a copy of the orders.

C) Death in Immediate Family

Death of an immediate family member that materially prevents attendance.

Documentation required: obituary, death notice, or similar verification.

D) Verified Victimization / Court-Related Restrictions

Protective orders, court dates, or verified circumstances that prevent attendance.

Documentation required: court documents or official report.

E) School-Caused Inability to Train

If the School cannot reasonably deliver the program as scheduled (e.g., extended equipment outage, start date cancellation without an acceptable alternative).

Documentation: School records.

How exceptions are handled (standard rule)

● The School will first offer a deferral (see Section 8) when feasible.

● If a refund is approved under an exception, it will be reduced by the $125 Registration Fee and any documented Costs Incurred, unless prohibited by a sponsor contract or applicable law.

Note: Safety-related dismissals, threats, harassment, intoxication, weapons, or major policy violations are not eligible for these exceptions unless required by sponsor rules or applicable law.

8) DEFERRAL / RESCHEDULING OPTION

One-Time Deferral (recommended policy)

A student may request one (1) deferral to a later start date if:

● the request is made before Training Begins; and

● the new start date is within 60 days of the original start date (or the next available cohort, whichever is later), subject to seat availability.

Fee: No fee for the first deferral.

If a student defers, amounts paid are applied to the new start date; refunds follow this policy based on the new start date and services already provided/activated.

9) DISMISSAL / TERMINATION FOR CAUSE

The School may dismiss a student for violations of the Enrollment Agreement, Student Code of Conduct, attendance policy, academic progress requirements, or safety rules.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or sponsor contract, dismissed students after Training Begins are not eligible for refunds.

10) THIRD-PARTY / SPONSOR-FUNDED STUDENTS (WIOA, EMPLOYER, AGENCY)

If tuition or fees are paid by a third party sponsor (including WIOA/workforce agencies), any refund due under this policy will be issued to the paying sponsor, unless the School receives written instruction from the sponsor directing otherwise.

Sponsor rules/contracts may impose different refund rules or faster timelines. In that case, the School will comply with sponsor requirements.

Pro-Rated Refunds for Sponsor-Funded Students

When required by sponsor rules/contracts, the School may calculate a prorated refund based on hours attended versus total program hours. No sponsor-funded refund is provided after the student completes more than 50% of the program, unless the sponsor contract requires otherwise.

11) REFUND TIMING

Refunds are processed within forty-five (45) days after the School receives valid written cancellation/withdrawal documentation and confirms refund eligibility, or sooner if required by applicable law or a funding source/sponsor contract.

12) PARTIAL PAYMENTS / PAYMENT PLANS

If a refund is approved, it is calculated based on the amounts actually paid by or on behalf of the student as of the effective cancellation/withdrawal date, minus any applicable Registration Fee and documented Costs Incurred (and subject to sponsor rules if applicable).

13) NO GUARANTEES

The School does not guarantee CDL issuance, test pass results, job placement, earnings, or a specific completion timeframe. Refund eligibility is governed solely by this policy, the Enrollment Agreement, and any applicable sponsor requirements.

14) POLICY UPDATES

The School may update this policy. The version provided to the student at enrollment (or posted on the School website) governs unless otherwise required by law or sponsor contract.
